Modern Pilates

Modern Pilates

September course starts week beginning 2nd and runs for 8 weeks - £76.00

Modern Pilates is a form of exercise that strengthens the body from the inside out it will strengthen both mind and body. The exercisers have been designed around the original Pilates principles, however, they have been adapted by physiotherapists and other specialists within the field, based on the latest sports scientific research. We pride ourselves on keeping upto date with the latest research and implementing the findings into our teaching in order to offer you a high quality of service and care.

Through continued practice you can expect to make many improvements, for example, posture, flexibility and core strength, enabling a stronger body for both everyday activities and sport.

Here at the Studio we specialise in Pilates for Back Care and rehab from injury or illness. We aim to accommodate everyone into a suitable class or on a one to one format, to enjoy the many physical and mental benefits that Pilates can offer.

Pilates classes are taught on either a one to one basis, or in a small group of no more than 10 participants.

Small group classes

Small group classes are offered as a course. This allows the sessions to be progressive, depending on the needs of the group, and will make your experience more beneficial. They run along- side school term times. Payment is made up front. If you are unable to make a session we will do our utmost to offer you an alternative class, as long as there is available space in that class.

Pilates and strength

A new class for September 2013 - you must have some previous Pilates experience before attending this session. Combining all the principles and elements of a regular class with the addition of Spri resistance bands, these mimic the resistance that the Pilates reformer offers. The class will follow a traditional strength training class format, increasing the repetitions and or the resistance with each exercise as fitness improves. Applying the scientifically researched strength training principles and the Modern Pilates principles, I am excited to deliver you this refreshing class format, and look forward to your fitness gains.
